Job Description:

As Inclusive Practice Coordinator, you will lead a team of Learning Mentors to deliver high quality, person centred support for students with learning difficulties, disabilities, and high needs. You will support EHCP reviews, and the effective deployment of staff to meet identified needs. This role offers the opportunity to lead service improvement, influence college wide practice, and develop staff through coaching and training. You will gain experience in high needs funding, statutory processes, and data systems such as Prosolution and Promonitor, while building leadership capability within a large further education setting.

Job Responsibility:

  • Line manage and deploy Learning Mentors to meet the needs of students with SEND and high needs
  • Support and attend EHCP annual reviews, monitor the setting of SMART targets, and record outcomes on college systems
  • Act as key contact between Inclusive Learning and curriculum teams to plan, timetable, and review support
  • Support with exam access arrangements, assistive technology, and specialist assessment processes
  • Monitor attendance, progress, and impact of support, producing reports on retention and achievement
  • Liaise with parents, carers, local authorities, and external agencies to secure effective support and transition

Requirements:

  • Minimum Level 3 Learning Support qualification or willingness to work towards
  • Award in Education and Training Level 3 or willingness to work towards
  • GCSE Maths and English Grade A to C or equivalent
  • Safeguarding Level 2 with willingness to work towards Level 3
  • Evidence of continuous professional development
  • Strong knowledge of SEND legislation and Education, Health and Care Plans
  • Experience of leading or coordinating support for students with learning difficulties and disabilities
  • Experience of EHCP review meetings and multi agency working
  • Ability to analyse data and produce clear reports on student progress and impact
  • Ability to plan effective support strategies and guide staff to implement them
  • Experience of exam access arrangements and high needs funding processes

Nice to have:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Teaching qualification such as PGCE, Cert Ed, or QTS
  • Postgraduate Award of Proficiency in Assessment for Access Arrangements or willingness to work towards
  • Knowledge of Prosolution, Promonitor, and electronic ILP systems
