Job Responsibility:
Bespoke Planning: Design and deliver personalised, engaging lessons that align specifically with individual EHCP targets
Adaptive Teaching: Utilise innovative strategies to remove barriers to learning and ensure every pupil makes academic and social progress
Classroom Leadership: Lead a specialised class team, coordinating with Teaching Assistants and specialist staff to maintain a safe, stimulating environment
Collaborative Liaison: Work closely with families, external professionals, and mainstream settings to facilitate smooth transitions and share best practices
Progress Monitoring: Consistently assess and track pupil development, adapting curriculums in real-time to meet evolving needs
Inclusion Advocacy: Contribute to the wider school's vision for inclusive practice, helping to promote specialist expertise across the entire school community
Requirements:
Must hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised qualification
Proven experience teaching pupils with SEND (Autism, complex needs, or learning difficulties) is essential
Deep knowledge of adaptive teaching strategies and the ability to design bespoke curriculum pathways
Excellent communication skills with the resilience and creativity to thrive in a specialist environment
Must hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to undergo a new application
