Transform Young Lives: Become an Inclusion Key Worker/Teaching Assistant. Are you passionate about supporting young people and preventing school exclusions? We're seeking four dedicated and proactive individuals to join a team as Key Workers/Teaching Assistants. About the Role: You'll be a vital link between students, schools, and families, working to ensure young people with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs thrive in mainstream education. As a Key Worker, you'll manage a caseload of 10-12 pupils, providing tailored support to help them overcome challenges and succeed.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils within their mainstream school setting
  • Work collaboratively with school staff to implement strategies that promote positive behaviour and engagement
  • Support pupils to develop their SEMH skills and make positive choices
  • Act as a key point of contact for pupils, families, and school staff
  • Work proactively to prevent exclusions by addressing underlying needs and challenges
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to multi-agency meetings
  • Ensure pupils are supported to meet the expectations of mainstream school policies, including behaviour standards

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Level 2 (GCSE 4-9 or equivalent) qualification in Maths and English
  • Valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
  • Experience in working with young people with SEMH needs (desirable)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive, resilient, and able to work independently
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
