Transform Young Lives: Become an Inclusion Key Worker/Teaching Assistant. Are you passionate about supporting young people and preventing school exclusions? We're seeking four dedicated and proactive individuals to join a team as Key Workers/Teaching Assistants. About the Role: You'll be a vital link between students, schools, and families, working to ensure young people with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs thrive in mainstream education. As a Key Worker, you'll manage a caseload of 10-12 pupils, providing tailored support to help them overcome challenges and succeed.
Job Responsibility:
Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils within their mainstream school setting
Work collaboratively with school staff to implement strategies that promote positive behaviour and engagement
Support pupils to develop their SEMH skills and make positive choices
Act as a key point of contact for pupils, families, and school staff
Work proactively to prevent exclusions by addressing underlying needs and challenges
Maintain accurate records and contribute to multi-agency meetings
Ensure pupils are supported to meet the expectations of mainstream school policies, including behaviour standards
Requirements:
Minimum of a Level 2 (GCSE 4-9 or equivalent) qualification in Maths and English
Valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
Experience in working with young people with SEMH needs (desirable)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proactive, resilient, and able to work independently
