Job Description:

We are currently looking for an Incentives Officer - Accountant to join our Incentives team part of our Group Tax and Incentives Division in our Athens Offices. By joining this role, you’ll play a vital role in supporting Group’s Investments through Incentives from European and Greek aid programs.

Job Responsibility:

Collaborating with the Accounting departments and other Central Functions to ensure the accurate recording and monitoring of expenditures related to investments that fall under national and/or European support programs
Accounting and financial monitoring of the implementation progress of investments included in Development Programs
Monitoring and ensuring compliance with the long-term obligations associated with Development Programs
Assisting in the preparation of the investment plan dossier and collecting supporting documents for submitting applications for investment support under Development Programs
Monitoring expenditures that benefit from horizontal incentive schemes, such as super-deductions
Supporting the submission of applications for project completion, disbursement, and use of incentives (grants, tax exemptions) for investments under Development Programs
Preparing and monitoring the annual budget of the Investment Incentives department
Managing the process and actions related to the acceptance and signing of contracts, and verifying the acceptance of invoices related to the above
Drafting and monitoring related reports on grant disbursements, incentive usage, and the progress of applications on a monthly and annual basis

Requirements:

University degree (AEI or TEI) in Economics, preferably in Accounting
4 years of experience in a similar or related role in a large company
Good knowledge of accounting (IFRS) and Greek taxation
Good understanding of financial statement analysis
Desired: Experience with investment evaluation models
Excellent command of MS Office
Experience with ERP systems (SAP) is desirable
Very good written and spoken English
Strong communication skills using modern tools
Discretion and confidentiality
