Job Description:

We are currently looking for an Incentives Officer - Accountant to join our Incentives team part of our Group Tax and Incentives Division in our Athens Offices. By joining this role, you’ll play a vital role in supporting Group’s Investments through Incentives from European and Greek aid programs.

Job Responsibility:

  • Collaborating with the Accounting departments and other Central Functions to ensure the accurate recording and monitoring of expenditures related to investments that fall under national and/or European support programs
  • Accounting and financial monitoring of the implementation progress of investments included in Development Programs
  • Monitoring and ensuring compliance with the long-term obligations associated with Development Programs
  • Assisting in the preparation of the investment plan dossier and collecting supporting documents for submitting applications for investment support under Development Programs
  • Monitoring expenditures that benefit from horizontal incentive schemes, such as super-deductions
  • Supporting the submission of applications for project completion, disbursement, and use of incentives (grants, tax exemptions) for investments under Development Programs
  • Preparing and monitoring the annual budget of the Investment Incentives department
  • Managing the process and actions related to the acceptance and signing of contracts, and verifying the acceptance of invoices related to the above
  • Drafting and monitoring related reports on grant disbursements, incentive usage, and the progress of applications on a monthly and annual basis

Requirements:

  • University degree (AEI or TEI) in Economics, preferably in Accounting
  • 4 years of experience in a similar or related role in a large company
  • Good knowledge of accounting (IFRS) and Greek taxation
  • Good understanding of financial statement analysis
  • Desired: Experience with investment evaluation models
  • Excellent command of MS Office
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP) is desirable
  • Very good written and spoken English
  • Strong communication skills using modern tools
  • Discretion and confidentiality
