Job Description

We are seeking an Inboard Technician to join our team at Gordon Bay Marine. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and potential for benefits package. We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Inboard Marine Technician to join our dynamic service team and play a key role in our expanding inboard program. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing department dedicated to inboard marine systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and maintaining inboard engines and their related systems, contributing their expertise to a team that values quality craftmanship and continues improvement.

Job Responsibility

  • Inspect and test inboard engines to diagnose and isolate faults, adjust, repair, or replace mechanical or electrical system parts
  • Preform scheduled service and maintenance, advise Service Writer of diagnosis, needed repairs, additional work needed, and cost estimate
  • Maintain effective working relationships with other dealership members, exhibit timeliness, positive attitude, punctuality, and meet deadlines
  • Conduct quality checks on work preformed, and maintain a clean, safe workspace

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of Inboard marine engines
  • Proficient with diagnostic tools and repair procedures
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and team work abilities
  • Flexibility in scheduling
  • relevant Trade Certificate or Diploma required
