We are seeking a motivated and meticulous individual to join our team. You will contribute to the discovery of therapeutic antibodies and subsequent efficacy assessments, collaborating with teammates through innovation, mutual support, and shared expertise.
Job Responsibility:
Performing in vivo and ex vivo techniques to support in vivo studies
Carrying out daily health assessments and recording clinical observations
Supporting in vivo day-of-study operations to ensure smooth execution and to maximize efficiency
Organizing and preparing lab spaces, materials/consumables, and equipment for in vivo and ex vivo activities
Providing technical support and problem-solving solutions
Identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing best practices to optimize workflow efficiency
Ensuring accurate recording of in vivo data across all studies
Supporting teammates with data entry as required
Training and mentoring team members to ensure compliance with safety policies, SOPs, and regulatory requirements
Collaborating with study managers, ensuring alignment on study protocols and animal welfare considerations
Requirements:
Extensive experience conducting in vivo studies in accordance with Animal Use Protocols and Standard Operating Procedures
Provide the highest level of animal care while overseeing and performing in vivo activities
Experienced with animal handling, dosing (IV, IP, SQ), and blood collection
Strong understanding of the 3Rs and research ethics
4+ years of experience in an in vivo research environment
BSc considered an asset
Experience with in vitro, in vivo, and ex vivo techniques for PK and oncology models considered an asset
Manage competing priorities seamlessly
Thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced lab environment
Self-motivated person, fast learner, team player, and creative problem solver
Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
Known for accountability and reliability
Able to lift up to 25 kg
Comfortable with long periods of standing and bending
