Job Responsibility

  • Answer all In‑Room Dining calls promptly using proper etiquette, tone, and brand scripting
  • Accurately take guest food and beverage orders, confirming preferences, special requests, dietary needs, and allergies
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of menus, ingredients, promotions, and preparation methods to confidently make recommendations and enhance the guest experience
  • Enter orders accurately into the POS system and communicate details clearly to the kitchen and service team
  • Coordinate order timing, delivery, and follow‑up to ensure service excellence and guest satisfaction
  • Anticipate guest needs, personalize service, and create memorable moments in line with Ritz‑Carlton service values
  • Handle guest concerns or complaints professionally, taking ownership and initiating service recovery when needed
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness of the order‑taking and work area
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene standards, and Marriott policies and procedures
  • Uphold confidentiality of guest information and adhere to data privacy standards
  • Foster positive working relationships with internal departments to support seamless operations
  • Actively participate in daily line‑ups, training sessions, and service improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • Related Work Experience: Less than 1 year related work experience
  • Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience
  • License or Certification: None
