Requirements

One to three years’ related experience in a restaurant, hotel or camp setting
Legally entitled to work in Canada
Food Safe certification an asset
Current clean criminal record check, including vulnerable sector search required and every five years afterward as a condition of employment
Able to work a flexible schedule according to seasonal operating requirements
Must be willing to relocate to Princeton, BC
Personal knowledge and experience of the saving work of Jesus Christ
Involvement with a local church
Agreement with Young Life’s Statement of Faith
Work quickly and unobtrusively in a busy environment that frequently demands the ability to multi-task

Job Responsibility

Synchronizes the safe, effective and efficient operation of our three dining rooms
Works closely with the Food Services Manager to ensure a safe and timely delivery of each food service
Assists the Food Services Manager with scheduling as well as communicating staffing requirements and inventory restocking for the dining room
Reports to the FSM for various set-up and take down tasks to provide a well-run meal service
Model Christ in word, deed and actions
Model and promote Young Life’s mission and values
Provide spiritual leadership to direct reports and volunteers
Pray for kids, Young Life volunteers, and fellow Young Life staff
Ensure quality standards are maintained regarding cleanliness and overall appearance of Dining Rooms, furniture, and equipment
Ensure superior training of Work Crew, volunteers, and paid staff

Job Responsibility

Prepares the guest room for arrival and daytime service
Cleans the guestroom at the requested time if known
Removes dirty towels and bed linen and replaces them with clean ones from the Linen Closet
Cleans, dusts, and sanitizes all areas of the Guest Room (bedroom, living room, dining room and bathroom) according to procedure and standard
Makes bed
Vacuums carpets and removes small carpet stains
Cleans wood, marble and tile areas
Remove garbage from bins in bedroom and bathroom
Completes scheduled cleaning projects such as Perfect Room Program and weekly/ monthly cleaning projects
Submits all maintenance issues in guestrooms, Public Areas and Back of house areas to the Engineering department through designated work systems and brings them to the attention of the Housekeeping management
