Job Responsibility

  • Take guest room service orders by phone when needed
  • Verify and deliver food and beverage orders accurately
  • Set up dining tables and room service equipment in guest rooms
  • Explain menu items and answer guest questions
  • Anticipate guest needs and provide personalized service
  • Remove trays and dining equipment after meals
  • Process guest checks and room charges correctly
  • Maintain cleanliness of service stations and equipment
  • Work closely with kitchen and hotel staff to ensure timely service.

Requirements

  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to carry trays and stand/walk for long periods
  • Attention to detail and multitasking ability
  • Food and beverage knowledge, including wine knowledge at many luxury properties
  • Previous restaurant, hotel, or room service experience is often preferred.
