Job Responsibility

  • Oversees integrity of product quality for assigned area through participation as integral part of manufacturing team
  • Drives and champions quality improvement efforts
  • Provides expert analysis, guidance and support to Production in Process Improvement activities, including effective use of Problem-Solving tools / techniques and statistical analysis
  • Through the application of APQP, supports the external customers in New Product Introduction, Localization and Continuous Improvement activities
  • Insures that internal customer needs for Control Systems are met in a timely and functional manner
  • Results for this position will be measured by improvements to Customer Satisfaction and Internal Scrap rate
  • Optimizes Process Capability on significant characteristics through effective application of statistical analysis techniques and training of shop floor people in Problem-Solving
  • Responsible for Product&Process audits, Internal and Customer complaints closures and monitoring with effective counter measure implementation
  • Applies knowledge of Inspection Equipment and Techniques to provide timely data usable for informed decision-making
  • Utilizes analytical skill sets to implement root cause analysis and provide recommendations for corrective action
  • Should be competent in ISO 50001:2011 requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining and improving an energy management system and follow a systematic approach in achieving continual improvement of energy performance, including energy efficiency, energy use and consumption
  • Responsible for Change Management process, Calibration process

Requirements

  • Mechanical Engineering graduate with more than 5 years of experience from an Automotive Manufacturing background
  • Diploma with 8 years of experience in relevant field is acceptable
  • Must have knowledge on TPM methodology, Quality Circle, Advanced Quality Planning, Inspection Equipment / Techniques
  • Must have hands-on exposure in Problem Solving / Root Cause Analysis - Using Minitab software, Capability studies, statistical analysis using various QC Tools, Metal forming, assembly processes, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
  • Must have knowledge on Heat Treatment furnaces and related quality processes, APQP, PPAP, Calibration MSA, Customer Compliant Handling, Warranty Analysis, Burden Ratio Analysis
  • Must have handled Change management process
  • IATF 16949 certification for internal auditor
  • Must have system knowledge on TS IATF 16949, ISO14001 and Customer specific standards
  • Should be able collaborate and work with Cross Functional team
  • Should have good communication skills
  • Should have flair for employee relations - should be able to work closely with his team, leading, motivating and challenging them to achieve higher targets
