Job Description:

Applerouth is looking to hire several in-home, one-on-one, test prep tutors to service the Austin metro area. We provide non-taxed travel! Applicants must be willing to tutor all sections of both the SAT and ACT - this, after comprehensive paid training, of course; however, a baseline knowledge of high school ELA & math content is needed. Applerouth Education is a group of passionate educators who believe that students are more than a score. We’re looking for driven, empathetic tutors to join our team and support students through customized, one-on-one instruction for the SAT, ACT, and academic subjects. Our tutors enjoy autonomy, consistent support, and ongoing paid training. This flexible, part-time role is ideal for those who want to make a meaningful impact while maintaining control over their schedule. Whether you’re a seasoned tutor or new to education, we provide all the tools you need to succeed — including industry-leading materials, coaching, and access to our supportive team. If you’re excited by the goal of building better learners for life, we’d love to meet you.

Job Responsibility:

  • Service the Austin metro area
  • Tutor all sections of both the SAT and ACT
  • Provide customized, one-on-one instruction for the SAT, ACT, and academic subjects
  • Support students through instruction

Requirements:

  • Strong academic background and content mastery in tutoring subjects
  • Passing score on our short pre-interview SAT/ACT content quiz
  • Reliable internet connection (for online trainings/meetings/sessions) and reliable transportation (for in-person sessions)
  • Availability to tutor during after-school hours and weekends
  • At least one year of college completed
  • Passion for helping students succeed and confidence in your ability to mentor others
  • Willingness to complete Applerouth’s paid training program and participate in mock testing
What we offer:
  • Non-taxed travel compensation - IRS rate
  • Frequent hourly bonus opportunities
  • Annual reviews with raise opportunities
  • Paid training
  • Self-determined schedule
  • Request bonus for student work
  • Access to new job openings across Guidewell Education before the general public
  • Referral program
