Our client, a Fresno-based legal team, is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to support and help manage several active matters being handled in coordination with outside counsel. This position will play a key role in keeping cases on track, ensuring adherence to local rules, and providing hands-on litigation support across the full lifecycle. Ideal candidates will bring strong knowledge of Fresno County Superior Court procedures and the ability to proactively manage deadlines and outside firms, however, that is not a requirement.
Job Responsibility:
Manage and track active litigation matters in partnership with outside counsel
Monitor case progression, deadlines, and filings to ensure compliance with Fresno County Superior Court rules
Coordinate with outside firms (including those outside the Central Valley) and serve as a local procedural resource
Prepare, review, and file court documents (state and federal)
Support discovery processes, including document collection, organization, and production
Assist with trial preparation, including exhibit management and case materials
Review and audit outside counsel invoices to ensure compliance with billing guidelines and prevent overbilling
Maintain organized case files and litigation documentation
Collaborate directly with the attorney on strategy, status updates, and deliverables
Requirements:
3+ years of litigation paralegal experience
Strong familiarity with Fresno County Superior Court rules and local practices highly preferred
Experience supporting litigation matters end-to-end (discovery through trial)
Background in agricultural, real estate, and/or trust & probate litigation preferred
Proficiency with court filings (state and federal) and PACER
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple active cases simultaneously
Experience working with or coordinating outside counsel
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
experience with discovery or document management tools is a plus
Ability to work independently in a remote environment, with occasional in-person collaboration as needed (experienced and very aligned fully-remote candidates will be considered as well)
Candidates based in the Central Valley strongly preferred
