Job Description:

In this role, you will manage a high-volume caseload involving collections, creditor’s rights, consumer finance disputes, and breach of contract matters. Your expertise will guide the development of strategic litigation plans, providing indispensable support to our organization.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage litigation matters independently, maintaining accountability for case strategy and outcomes
  • Handle collections, creditor’s rights, consumer finance, and breach of contract disputes with precision and expertise
  • Conduct thorough legal research and draft persuasive legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, and motions
  • Develop effective risk assessment strategies while negotiating favorably to achieve positive outcomes for the organization
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide informed legal counsel on complex matters

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
  • Active membership in good standing with the Texas State Bar
  • At least 3 years of litigation experience in Texas, with a focus on collections, creditor’s rights, consumer finance, and breach of contract disputes
  • Previous in-house counsel experience (a plus but not required)
  • Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
  • Proven negotiation and analytical abilities with a solid understanding of risk management
  • Self-motivated and capable of managing a high-volume caseload independently and efficiently
