In-house legal counsel (epcc and contracts focus)

Contract Lifecycle & EPCC Management - Drafting & Negotiation: Lead the drafting, reviewing, and negotiation of EPCC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning) and O&M (Operations & Maintenance) contracts. Contractor Management: Act as the primary legal gatekeeper for sub-contractor agreements, ensuring 'back-to-back' protection against the main Power Purchase Agreement (PPA). Variation Orders (VOs): Manage the legal process for contract amendments, claims, and disputes arising during the construction phase of renewable assets (Solar, Hydro, or Bioenergy). 2. Regulatory & Licensing - Statutory Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with the Energy Commission (Suruhanjaya Tenaga), SEDA, and TNB/GSL requirements. Permitting: Oversee the legal aspects of obtaining Public/Private Licenses and ensuring adherence to the National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR) frameworks (e.g., LSS5, CGPP). 3. Land & Project Development - Land Acquisition: Draft and review land lease agreements, easements, and land conversion applications (Tukar Syarat) under the National Land Code. Due Diligence: Conduct legal due diligence on project sites and potential joint venture partners. 4. Corporate Governance & Secretarial - Department Founding: Establish the company's first legal SOPs, contract templates, and document retention policies.
