We are looking for a skilled attorney to join our team as an In-House Counsel, focusing on employment law matters within a global organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employment law and litigation, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and handling a variety of employment-related issues. This is a long-term contract position located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Job Responsibility:
Provide legal guidance on employment-related matters, including hiring, terminations, and compliance with federal regulations
Draft and review company policies to align with legal standards and best practices
Address employment claims and assist in resolving disputes effectively
Support equity compensation processes and ensure compliance with related laws
Offer expertise in employment discrimination cases and litigation
Ensure the organization adheres to employment laws and regulations on a global scale
Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement compliance strategies
Conduct legal research and provide recommendations on complex employment law issues
Assist in creating training materials to educate staff on employment law compliance
Take a hands-on approach to support the legal team in various capacities
Requirements:
Must be a licensed attorney with active credentials
Minimum of 5 years of experience in employment law and litigation
Proven expertise in handling employment discrimination cases
Strong knowledge of federal regulations and employment compliance standards
Experience drafting and reviewing employment-related policies
Ability to manage equity compensation processes and related legal requirements
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently and take initiative in handling legal matters
