Job Description

We are looking for an experienced In House Counsel to provide legal guidance and litigation support for a Contract position based in Los Angeles, California supporting a Private Asset Management Organization. This opportunity is suited for an attorney with a strong background in complex, multi-party disputes involving construction, real estate, and bankruptcy matters. The role is focused on cross-forum coordination (bankruptcy, appellate, employment) and on serving as the principal liaison between internal stakeholders and outside counsel to keep legal strategy aligned, ensure smooth communication, and maintain consistency across active proceedings.

Job Responsibility

  • Advise on complex legal disputes involving multiple parties, with an emphasis on construction, real estate, employment and bankruptcy-related matters
  • Partner with internal legal leadership to assist with active cases and day-to-day legal priorities
  • Act as the central point of contact between business stakeholders and outside legal counsel
  • Coordinate communications and strategic efforts among external trial counsel and appellate law firms
  • Preserve case history and legal context to support continuity across ongoing matters and proceedings
  • Contribute to a cohesive legal approach by monitoring developments and helping align representation strategies
  • Review legal issues, case updates, and risk considerations to support informed business and litigation decisions

Requirements

  • Active license to practice law in good standing
  • Demonstrated experience handling complex civil or commercial litigation matters
  • Strong knowledge of bankruptcy law and related legal proceedings
  • Familiarity with appellate court processes and coordination with appellate counsel
  • Experience supporting matters related to construction and real estate disputes
  • Familiarity with defense side employment litigation
  • Ability to manage multiple legal matters while communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Korean and English bilingual proficiency is a plus
