Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated In-House Counsel to join our team in Houston, Texas. This role requires a legal expert with expertise in renewable energy and infrastructure to support a growing portfolio of projects. The ideal candidate will collaborate with internal teams to provide legal guidance, assess risks, and manage contractual agreements, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory standards.

Job Responsibility:

  • Review, interpret, and advise on various commercial contracts, including power agreements, vendor contracts, and development arrangements
  • Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to evaluate contractual risks and provide recommendations on pricing and commercial terms
  • Offer legal expertise for renewable energy and digital infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance and strategic alignment
  • Identify potential legal and regulatory risks, proposing practical solutions to mitigate challenges
  • Support the execution of deals and oversee contract approval processes throughout development phases
  • Partner with the General Counsel to shape legal strategies, ensure compliance, and optimize internal processes
  • Enhance and streamline contract review procedures within the legal function to improve efficiency and effectiveness

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school with active bar membership
  • Minimum of 3 years of legal experience, preferably in renewable energy, infrastructure, or related industries
  • Proven ability to review and advise on complex commercial contracts
  • Familiarity with legal aspects of renewable energy projects, power infrastructure, or data center agreements
  • Strong business acumen and sound judgment in providing practical legal advice
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced organization
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with internal teams and stakeholders
