This is a pivotal, hands-on role designed for a commercially minded solicitor who thrives in a fast-paced, public company environment. Reporting to the People Officer, you will serve as the primary legal partner for our UK and international business units, with a core focus on drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts that drive our growth. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the legal operations of a Nasdaq-listed entity from a UK base, balancing technical legal excellence with pragmatic business partnership.
Job Responsibility:
Lead the drafting, review, and negotiation of a broad range of global agreements, including SaaS, master service agreements, vendor contracts, and licensing
Act as the central point of contact for all global external law firms, ensuring strict adherence to billing guidelines and service level agreements
Manage the legal budget by triaging matters effectively—handling work in-house where possible and selecting the right external experts for specialised tasks
Ensure UK and international operations remain compliant with Nasdaq listing rules and SEC disclosure requirements
Develop, maintain, and localise standard contract templates and 'playbooks' to empower sales and procurement teams globally
Identify and communicate potential legal and regulatory risks to senior leadership, providing actionable solutions rather than just identifying hurdles
Provide company secretarial support as required
Requirements:
Qualified Solicitor with 4+ years PQE
Demonstrable experience working within (or advising) a publicly traded company, specifically understanding the rigors of a US-listed (Nasdaq/NYSE) environment
Strong technical command of commercial law, with a proven ability to lead high-stakes negotiations independently
Experience in managing external legal providers and a track record of driving value and efficiency from outside counsel
