Job Description:

This role will focus on providing legal expertise in global trade compliance, ensuring adherence to sanctions and export controls while supporting business innovation and strategic initiatives. The position offers the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams and contribute to the development of a world-class compliance program.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage global trade compliance matters, including export controls, sanctions, and anti-boycott regulations
  • Offer legal guidance on complex compliance issues related to export controls, including process development and implementation
  • Oversee product classification efforts to ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks for goods, software, and technology
  • Design and deliver comprehensive training programs on due diligence, sanctions, and export control requirements
  • Coordinate licensing requirements and export control reviews for international projects and global sales activities
  • Develop and update trade compliance policies, procedures, and guidance materials to maintain compliance standards
  • Conduct due diligence for contracts, business partners, and tenders, including screenings and ownership reviews
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external counsel to resolve intricate trade compliance challenges
  • Provide strategic recommendations to leadership on maintaining compliance with global regulations

Requirements:

  • Hold a law degree from a recognized institution or equivalent qualification
  • Have at least 5 years of experience in global trade compliance, with specialized knowledge in sanctions and export controls
  • Possess strong familiarity with global sanctions regimes and dual-use export control regulations
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse global teams
  • Exhibit proven leadership and decision-making abilities in complex organizational settings
  • Show proficiency in Microsoft Office and possess strong analytical and planning capabilities
  • Ability to work independently and handle ambiguity while maintaining ethical decision-making
  • Licensed attorney with expertise in corporate law, contract negotiations, and compliance matters
