Job Description

A growing, new, privately held technology company based in Fairfield County, CT is looking to hire an attorney with 5+ years of in-house corporate generalist experience.

Job Responsibility

  • Contracts and Commercial Transactions – Oversee, structure, draft and negotiate agreements memorializing the company’s commercial dealings with customers, suppliers, employees, contractors, vendors, etc. on a global basis, including business and technology services agreements, software licenses, technology subscriptions, NDAs, joint venture and employment agreements, real property leases, etc.
  • Corporate Governance – Maintain corporate minutes and legal records with respect to corporate affiliates across the globe
  • Compliance – Formulate, develop, manage and maintain global privacy policies and customer terms. Advise on global regulatory requirements
  • Dispute Management – Lead strategy, draft correspondence, negotiate and manage all disputes. When necessary, engage and direct outside counsel. Actively manage all litigation
  • Employee Relations – Advise on all major employee relations issues. Provide regular strategic and tactical advice, draft compensation plans, formulate policies and practices and execute on major employee relations initiatives
  • Intellectual Property – Manage global IP portfolio

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience
  • State bar admission
  • Sound business judgment and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experience at a technology oriented company
