Job Description

An individual in Enterprise Risk Management plays a critical role in managing the bank's diverse risks to ensure financial stability and sustained growth. This involves the identification and management of enterprise-level and cross-cutting risks, designing and executing stress tests, managing climate risk and protecting against reputational risk. This integral role within the bank ensures operations are within a defined risk appetite and contribute to the overall objectives of the bank. Individuals responsible for In-business Risk Management oversee risk identification, assessment, measurement, monitoring and reporting. They design and implement risk mitigation actions and focus on managing one or more risks in support of business activities. Professionals in Enterprise Risk Management are entrusted with providing a comprehensive view of risk management which enables the bank to anticipate, assess, and mitigate potential risks, crucial for the bank's success.

Job Responsibility

  • Design and lead projects to execute control enhancements over processes. Document processes developed, actions taken and track matters to ensure resolution
  • Assess potential modifications to compliance policies, contemplate their effects, and collaborate with significant parties to ensure effective implementation
  • Maintain oversight through review of metrics, monitoring of activity, and tracking of corrective action plans
  • Prepare presentations to update senior management and various governance committees on developments, emerging risks, control issues, and enhancements
  • Assist the Business in key policy adherence and monitoring. Monitor the business changes and predict possible risk scenarios
  • Update and maintain a robust Manager’s Control Assessment (MCA) in compliance with the Citi’s Risk Policy
  • Serve as main point of contact for audit groups and ensure that all audit requests are timely and appropriately provided. Liaise with 2 Line of Defense to facilitate resolution of any issues identified
  • Evaluate regulatory change applicability and conduct impact assessments. Map existing controls to new regulatory requirements, ensuring full coverage
  • Perform Compliance Risk Assessments as per Compliance specification
  • Document issues and impact, perform root cause analysis and design Corrective Action Plan. Perform solution design and remediation and open and close the issues (issues L1 to L3)
  • Takes personal accountability for escalating, identifying, and managing potential risk
  • implements controls that enhance the client experience and operational effectiveness

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Operational Risk Management, Audit, Compliance or other control function
  • Experience in assessing risks and evaluating controls in collaboration with various teams
  • Proven ability to design and lead projects to enhance processes
  • Knowledge of evolving requirements and their impacts
  • Expertise in maintaining a robust Manager’s Control Assessment (MCA) in compliance with risk policies

  • Hands-on experience with enterprise HR platforms such as Oracle PeopleSoft, PeopleSoft HCM, Workday, or similar systems
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess data quality, troubleshoot issues, and interpret system behavior
  • Working knowledge of HRIS databases and SQL for reporting, validation, and data investigation
  • Experience supporting system implementations, upgrades, patches, or large-scale platform changes
  • Ability to manage security access, reporting needs, and cross-functional coordination in a complex operational setting
  • Strong communication and documentation skills for working with technical teams, business users, and compliance stakeholders
  • Experience in higher education or another regulated environment is preferred

  • Coordinate testing activities for software updates, regulatory changes, patches, and platform enhancements to ensure stable performance
  • Administer user access, security roles, approval paths, and organizational structures that affect HR, payroll, and benefits operations
  • Perform data review, validation, reconciliation, and documentation activities to maintain accurate information across multiple HR systems, including Workday-related support
  • Develop recurring and on-demand reports, while assisting with compliance reporting and responses to public records requests
  • Evaluate current workflows, data movement, and system controls to recommend improvements that increase accuracy, efficiency, and consistency
  • Support enterprise HR platform modernization efforts by assisting with system transition tasks, cross-platform coordination, and operational readiness activities
