This role offers the opportunity to build an in-depth knowledge of Markets’ businesses globally, enhance trade booking controls environment, and partner with Front Office stakeholders in Business Execution, Trading, and Technology teams.
Job Responsibility:
Investigate and analyse data and process flows to understand the availability, meaning and suitability of data to be used in trade booking controls
Define business requirements for controls to meet regulatory commitments and business needs
Collaborate with Sales/Trading, Technology, Operations, and other functions
Test and implement new controls to ensure they meet business requirements and transition smoothly into production within target timeframes
Partner with Business to produce communications and guidance around controls go-live for relevant stakeholder groups, including preparation of guides and providing walkthroughs as well as plan and execute seamless go-live of new controls
Partner with 1LOD businesses to ensure compliance with relevant Firm policies/standards, also external regulatory expectations and industry standards where relevant
Work with Audit and other Control groups to investigate control failures and drive forward control enhancement initiatives
Embed new controls into Manager Control Assessments (MCA)
Ensure that relevant control documentation is kept up to date, and booking practices are considered as businesses introduce new products or changes
Requirements:
Relevant senior industry experience preferred in Markets Front Office, operational risk, middle office, technology, product control or other relevant control function
Strong working knowledge of Markets traded products and related control principles
Understanding of Trade Capture/booking flows and Trade/Order lifecycle activities preferred
Business analysis and project management experience (requirements gathering, stakeholder management, BRD preparation, testing)
Experience with at least 1-2 asset classes preferred
Experience working on controls-related technology changes
Excellent communication skills, including interaction with senior management
A proactive and 'no surprises' approach in communicating issues and strength in sustaining independent reviews
Proven track record in collaboration across different businesses, regions and/or support functions
Global mindset, with regional and global product understanding
Strong problem solving and analytical skills - ability to think dynamically but with a Risk and Controls mindset at the forefront
Advanced Word, PowerPoint, Excel and strong database analysis/management skills
