Job Description

Due to expansion in workload and company growth, we are seeking experienced Imports Officer to join our team in Sydney on a full-time basis. Your role will predominately be working in our expanding eCommerce sector where you’ll be given coaching in our industry leading IT software.

Job Responsibility

  • Preparing custom documentation
  • Lodging Air/Sea cargo automation
  • Lodging Outturn report
  • Liaising with clients (nationally and internationally), carriers, ABF and AQIS
  • Managing client enquiries
  • Co-coordinating with clients and internal staff
  • Cargo delivery arrangement
  • Managing bonded warehouse
  • Support custom brokers
  • Complete all required documentation in a timely manner and in accordance with Company policy and compliance obligations
  • Follow all WHS and compliance requirements
  • Follow procedures and communicate effectively with internal and external team
  • Ad-hoc tasks as required by management
  • Have previous experience working in a similar role

Requirements

  • At least 2 years’ freight forwarding experience
  • Current and proven experience in a similar role
  • Service oriented and strong customer-focus approach
  • Strong attention to detail and good time management
  • Accurate and fast data entry skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage conflicting workload
  • Demonstrated proficiency in computer usage
  • EDI experience
