Due to expansion in workload and company growth, we are seeking experienced Imports Officer to join our team in Sydney on a full-time basis. Your role will predominately be working in our expanding eCommerce sector where you’ll be given coaching in our industry leading IT software.
Job Responsibility:
Preparing custom documentation
Lodging Air/Sea cargo automation
Lodging Outturn report
Liaising with clients (nationally and internationally), carriers, ABF and DAFF
Managing client enquiries
Co-coordinating with clients and internal staff
Arrange cargo deliveries
Managing bonded warehouse procedures
Work with our licensed customs brokers to facilitate cargo hold or release
Complete all required documentation in a timely manner and in accordance with Company policy and compliance obligations
Follow all WHS and compliance requirements
Follow procedures and communicate effectively with internal and external team
Ad-hoc tasks as required by management
Requirements:
At least 2 years’ experience in freight forwarding or a related industry
Available to work an occasional weekend, when rostered
Service oriented and possess a strong customer-focused approach
Strong attention to detail and good time management
Accurate and fast data entry skills
Problem resolution mindset
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to manage a dynamic workload, in line with volumes
