This Melbourne-based role is perfect for someone with seafreight experience who is ready to take ownership of results and succeed in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage national sea import operations, delivering seamless, end-to-end solutions for key customers
  • Execute on daily operational deliverables, including but not limited to coordination with strategic partners, liaising with our internal customs department, arranging and tracking cartage, completing job billing
  • Serve as a primary contact with customers, carriers, service providers, and overseas partners
  • Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction through proactive communication, rapid problem-solving, and consistent follow-up
  • Ensure full compliance with international trade regulations and domestic regulatory requirements
  • Proactively resolve shipment issues, escalating when necessary to maintain on-time performance
  • Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with customers and suppliers
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality and operational efficiency

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in international freight forwarding, with a proven track record in seafreight operations
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Import Seafreight Operator experience
  • Great communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Proven organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience with CargoWise (CW1) is an advantage
  • A proactive, “can-do” attitude with a drive to deliver results and grow within the role
