Job Description:

Client is seeking a Licensed Customs Broker / Import Manager to join its El Segundo team. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional ready to take ownership of import operations while providing leadership, compliance oversight, and client management.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead and manage import brokerage operations across multiple accounts
  • Oversee full-cycle account management (A–Z), including FDA-regulated shipments
  • Coordinate cargo release with carriers, CBP, and other government agencies
  • Ensure compliance with all U.S. Customs and regulatory requirements
  • Track shipments, monitor ETAs, and manage cargo movement and delivery
  • Prepare and review import documentation, classifications, and CBP filings
  • Process and oversee ISF filings and confirm release status
  • Provide guidance on tariff classification and regulatory changes
  • Serve as senior point of contact for clients
  • maintain strong relationships
  • Identify process improvements and support operational efficiency
  • Mentor and support junior staff as needed

Requirements:

  • Licensed U.S. Customs Broker (required)
  • 8+ years of U.S. customs brokerage experience
  • Prior experience in a lead or supervisory capacity preferred
  • Strong knowledge of import documentation (BOLs, invoices, HTS codes, etc.)
  • Experience with CargoWise (preferred)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and client service abilities
  • Sound judgment and decision-making skills
