Job Description:

A busy company in the Basking Ridge area is seeking an Import Logistics Specialist to join their team. This Import Logistics Specialist will get the chance to join a growing organization with a team that provides excellent training to get you up and running quickly.

Job Responsibility:

Maintaining and developing customer relationships
Processing purchase orders with vendors
Maintaining customer records and pricing
Updating inventory and determining purchasing needs
Submitting import documents to brokers for international and domestic customs clearance
Paying all import fees
Bill of landing
Tracking shipments
Preparing shipping schedules for customers
Negotiating freight rates for drayage, FTL and LTL shipments with carriers
Arranging shipments from warehouse to customers
Invoicing customers upon delivery
Resolving customer complaints and following up to ensure resolution
Handling customer returns and rejections
Requesting and preparing vendor and client credits and debits
Processing vendor invoices for payment

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree preferably in supply chain management or business management preferred
3-5 years of import logistics experience required
ERP systems experience required
Ability to multitask
Strong organizational skills are essential
