Job Responsibility

  • Process documents efficiently and promptly to ensure they are correct and have been entered into the operations system
  • Liaise with Customs Agents, clients, various transport bodies, and Australian Customs as and when required
  • Responsible for processing import and export documentation
  • Responsible for booking cargo with shipping lines and consolidators
  • To inspect all dangerous goods documentation and cargo, where applicable
  • Take responsibility for documenting Document Change Requests
  • Take responsibility for inspecting all freight received or dispatched to the consignee or shipper
  • Take responsibility for completing a Skills Inventory and for ensuring all training received is recorded
  • Prepare arrival notices
  • Pay all charges and check ultimate consignees
  • Ensure all bookings received are managed in line with department KPI’s
  • Ensure all shipments are invoiced on time and in line with department KPI’s
