Job Description

As a member of the Technology team, and reporting to the Senior Implementation Manager, the Implementation Technician is responsible for the deployment, support, and training of approved restaurant technologies for all Boston Pizza Restaurants. This role involves project-based and ad-hoc deployments, both remotely and on-site, sustainment of key restaurant technology platforms, training, and technical support.

Job Responsibility

  • Assess restaurant requirements and fulfill requests for Boston Pizza approved hardware and software
  • Responsible for the communications, coordination, and deployment of initiatives and key technology projects to restaurants
  • Develop and maintain documentation and configurations for deployed technologies
  • Provide support and training to Franchisees and restaurants for New Restaurant Openings (NROs), renovations, and all technology system upgrades
  • Provide program sustainment for key restaurant technology platforms, including new feature development, system maintenance, imaging, and licensing reviews
  • Provide technical support for all Boston Pizza restaurants (including Boston’s US locations), through the POS Solution Centre

Requirements

  • 2-year technology diploma (e.g., CITA, CIT, etc.)
  • 2-3 years of experience in IT technical support for networking, troubleshooting, and field work
  • experience with Point of Sale ("POS") systems, POSitouch preferred
  • strong network installation and cable management best practice skills
  • working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and Office suites
  • working knowledge of restaurant operations and building concepts
  • strong customer service, problem-solving, time and project management, communication (verbal & written), decision making, and analytical skills
  • able to climb ladders and lift at least 25 KG
  • able to develop procedures and create instructional documents
  • must be available to work evenings and weekends with the ability to travel to multiple restaurant locations (e.g. valid driver’s license)
