To achieve a quality project implementation/Delivery within time and budget constraints for the assigned customers, whilst being respectful of other Programme team objectives. The Project manager will be responsible for managing and delivering implementation projects from Mumbai. They will be responsible for all day-to-day project management activities. They may have to work independently or with UK counterparts, who will represent the team during face-to-face meetings with customers.
Job Responsibility:
To manage the implementation process as defined in the current Implementation Process Model(s) and ensure Governance is adhered too
To ensure the customer is aware of their respective responsibilities and commits to resources required
To manage the progress of work performed by NEC and Third Parties
To be the prime customer contact and promote NEC products and company professionally at all times
To maintain regular, frequent contact with the customer and develop a profitable relationship with key customer personnel
To manage problems through to resolution escalating proactively and formally as necessary
To maintain accurate quality records of customer project work, sufficient to allow seamless handover to a colleague
To continually assess the implementation project and propose process improvements
To ensure all records in Kimble are kept up to date including billing and forecast resources and revenue accurately
Project Initiation activities
Prepare and maintain project reporting
Manage schedule
Manage overall project resource schedule
Liaise with Resource managers over resource availability
Report deviations if any and obtain approval from project board
Manage Deployment
Obtain deployment consultants from resource manager
Ensure that deployment work package / plan is prepared
Plan deployment with deployment consultant and customer
Work closely with Change Team and other stakeholders to complete Change documentation prior to deployments.
Ensure that deployment takes place as planned, manage any deviation
Manage communication
Produce checkpoint minutes from checkpoint calls
Produce highlight reports
Prepare and track action points to completion
Update knowledge base with lessons learnt
Manage risks, issues and actions
Manage activities during Customer UAT Phases leading to Go live (hyper care period if any)
Handover to Support as per the HOTS process (Handover to support process)
Manage project closures effectively with documentation of lessons learnt and integrate learnings into future projects
Requirements:
Project Management experience in IT projects / software implementation projects
Able to work alone (Individual Contributor) and as effectively as a team player
Strong commercial awareness
Excellent Negotiator
Proven ability to self-manage and remain productive under pressure.
Professionally presented and a great ambassador for the Company
Positive work ethic which includes willingness to work extended hours where appropriate
Numerate, methodical, approachable and an excellent communicator at many levels
Ability to build strong relationships with NEC customers

Strong report writing skills
Prince2 Practitioner or equivalent certification
may be waived for exceptionally talented candidates. They’ll need to be trained after joining.
Demonstrable knowledge of MS Project (or equivalent), Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Has development / technical background (Preferred)
Has managed 3rd parties
Master’s degree in engineering or Computer science / computer application
3 - 5 Years and above relevant experience
8 - 10 years total experience
Has worked with UK clients and team (Preferred)
Has working experience of the onshore – offshore model
Has experience of commercial awareness in aspects such as revenue recognition and margin management
