We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Immigration Paralegal to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Princeton, New Jersey. In this role, you will play a key part in managing employment-based immigration processes, including H-1B applications and matters related to eligibility to work in the U.S., as well as overseeing I-9 verification and processing tasks. This position requires strong communication skills to interact with clients, legal representatives, and business leaders effectively.
Job Responsibility:
Handle employment-based immigration matters, including H-1B visa applications and processes related to eligibility to work in the U.S.
Manage I-9 verification and processing with accuracy and compliance
Communicate with clients, their legal teams, and business leaders to ensure seamless coordination
Collaborate with external legal firms on petition preparation and submissions
Maintain detailed records of immigration cases and ensure timely updates
Review and organize discovery materials for immigration-related cases
Assist with trial preparation and civil litigation tasks as needed
Utilize case management software to track and manage case progress
Provide support in employment-based immigration law compliance
Stay updated on changes in immigration laws and policies
Requirements:
At least 1 year of experience in immigration law or related paralegal work
Familiarity with employment-based immigration processes such as H-1B visas and Green Cards
Proficiency in managing I-9 verification and processing
Strong communication skills for interacting with clients and legal professionals
Experience using case management software to organize and track cases
Understanding of discovery, civil litigation, and trial preparation
Knowledge of immigration law and employment-based compliance
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
