Bowman has an opportunity for a Part Time Immigration Coordinator II to join our team in Reston, VA. Provide administrative and operational support for employment-based immigration matters to ensure compliance with applicable laws and company policies. The Immigration Coordinator assists with case management, documentation, tracking of work authorizations, and coordination with employees, managers, HR, and external counsel. This role supports immediate business needs and contributes to effective workforce planning related to immigration processes.
Job Responsibility:
Provide administrative and operational support for employment-based immigration matters to ensure compliance with applicable laws and company policies
Provide administrative support for U.S. and global employment-based non-immigrant and immigrant visa processes
Coordinate with employees, managers, and external immigration counsel to gather required documentation and track case progress
Maintain accurate immigration records in HRIS and immigration case management systems
Monitor visa expiration reports and assist with timely initiation of extensions, amendments, and employment reverifications (including I‑9 updates)
Assist with preparation of visa support letters and required immigration forms
Support PERM and permanent residence processes by coordinating documentation and recruitment efforts as directed
Track and maintain Public Access Files and other compliance-related documentation
Assist with drafting communications and responding to employee inquiries regarding case status and required documentation
Help maintain and update immigration policies, procedures, and internal guidance materials
Support reporting and data tracking related to immigration cases, timelines, and costs
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Legal Studies, Business Administration, Political Science, International Relations, or related field preferred
Two (2+) years of HR, administrative, legal support, or immigration-related experience required
Basic working knowledge of U.S. employment-based immigration processes preferred
Experience working with HRIS systems (UKG Pro or similar) preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Strong written communication skills for drafting correspondence and documentation
Ability to learn and apply immigration laws, regulations, and company policies accurately
