Job Description

The Immigration Consultant will be responsible for managing and overseeing the company’s global mobility programs, ensuring seamless and compliant relocation and international assignment processes for Deel’s employees worldwide. You will ensure that employees who are relocating or on international assignments have a smooth transition, while also ensuring compliance with legal and immigration requirements in various jurisdictions. Your role will also involve tracking policies and offering expert advice on immigration issues while contributing to Deel's ability to attract and retain top global talent.

Job Responsibility

  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of immigration cases in line with SLAs and internal quality standards
  • conduct eligibility assessments and client consultations for assigned countries
  • deliver high-quality client service through clear, professional communication and proactive case management
  • maintain compliance for assigned jurisdictions in accordance with applicable immigration laws, regulations, operational requirements, and internal policies
  • manage assigned cases using the case management system, completing daily tasks and ensuring case statuses are accurate and up to date
  • coordinate multiple communication streams and manage internal document and information collection for assigned cases
  • liaise with local service providers and government authorities to resolve complex immigration matters
  • act as a subject matter expert for assigned countries, providing immigration advice and guidance to internal teams
  • effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders across multiple channels
  • manage a range of immigration services across multiple jurisdictions
  • where applicable, take ownership of the full immigration case lifecycle, including in-house preparation and submission of applications
  • participate in internal projects aimed at improving service delivery, operational efficiency, and client communication

Requirements

  • 7-8 years of progressive immigration experience in Germany (including in house)
  • at least 3-4 years as an Immigration Consultant or in similar roles
  • ideally law degree or similar field or paralegal
  • fluent in English and German (written and spoken)
  • strong knowledge of the immigration processes in Germany
  • excellent communication and the ability to find solutions under pressure
  • ability to interpret and communicate immigration policies and processes
