Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Immigration Attorney to join our team on a short-term, 10 hour basis in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in immigration law to provide legal representation and guidance to clients. This position offers an opportunity to work on challenging cases involving deportation and asylum while ensuring the highest level of legal support.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide legal representation and counsel to clients facing immigration-related matters, including deportation and asylum cases
  • Prepare and review case files thoroughly in preparation for hearings
  • Draft detailed motions, briefs, and other legal documents as required
  • Conduct legal research to support case strategies and ensure compliance with immigration laws
  • Represent clients in court proceedings and advocate effectively on their behalf
  • Collaborate with colleagues and clients to gather necessary documentation and evidence
  • Stay updated on changes in immigration law and apply them to ongoing cases
  • Manage discovery processes and ensure timely submission of legal filings
  • Build strong client relationships by maintaining clear and attentive communication

Requirements

  • Must be a licensed attorney with active bar membership
  • Demonstrated experience in immigration law is required
  • Familiarity with deportation and asylum cases is highly desirable
  • Strong skills in drafting motions, briefs, and other legal documents
  • Experience in civil litigation and discovery processes
  • Ability to conduct thorough legal research and apply findings effectively
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines efficiently
