The COACH – Community and Opportunities at Children’s Hospital – internship program mission is to create a pathway for emerging healthcare professionals, offering hands-on experience, structured development, and dedicated mentorship. The College COACH summer internship is a paid program running from Monday, June 8-Friday, August 14, 2026. In addition to on-the-job training and work experience, the program includes workshops and additional development programs. College students will work 35 hours/week.
Job Responsibility:
Assist with concept generation, digital modeling, and fabrication for engineering and simulation development projects
Support operation and maintenance of studio equipment
Participate in brainstorming and design review sessions
Research relevant materials, fabrication methods, or emerging technologies
Attend a 2-day program orientation and onboarding
Participate in virtual and in-person workshops and activities
Requirements:
Undergraduate college student in good academic standing
Enrolled in a two-or four-year program for Fall 2026
Interest in working in healthcare
Foundational knowledge of engineering design principles
Familiarity with computer-aided design (CAD) and/or 3D modeling software
Interest in 3D printing, prototyping, or device fabrication
Clear written and verbal communication skills
