Consider joining our upbeat team performing CT and XR at our small hospital. We are willing to train!

Job Responsibility

  • Operates equipment and performs procedures and diagnostics in a minimum of two or more of the following modalities: Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Mammography, Radiologic, and/or Interventional Radiologic
  • Reviews patient's medical record to obtain necessary clinical information including patient history, lab results, and physician orders
  • Provides patient with radiation/magnetic protection and safety in accordance with regulatory agencies
  • Positions patient and selects proper scanning factors, adjusts factors and attains the appropriate images
  • May prepare and administer contrast media under the direction of the Radiologist
  • Post-processes images as directed and accurately identifies and labels images
  • Maintains records in accordance with various regulatory agencies and enters patient and study information into the radiology information system
  • Identifies equipment performance issues and performs equipment quality assurance tests and calibration procedures
  • Performs various patient positioning and transporting duties
  • Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served

Requirements

  • Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin
  • Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 6 months
  • Advanced training beyond High School that includes the completion of an accredited or approved program in Radiologic Technology
  • Must meet all knowledge and competency requirements at the competent level for a minimum of two modalities
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and patient service skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders frequently
  • Must be able to stand/walk for majority of the day
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. over the head
  • Must be able to carry up to 40 lbs. a reasonable distance
  • Must be able to push/pull with 30 lbs. of force
  • Must be able to perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present
  • Must have clear speech, vision and hearing
