Successful completion of a fully accredited (full accreditation means the training program is accredited through the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or a similar, nationally recognized, accrediting agency), training program in the pertinent modality for which the employee was hired and

Job Responsibility

Perform a variety of advanced diagnostic and interventional procedures across diverse imaging modalities, under the general direction of departmental leadership.
Expertly operate complex imaging equipment, precisely execute imaging protocols, and meticulously monitor patients to ensure their safety and comfort throughout diagnostic and interventional procedures.
Skillfully produce high-quality diagnostic images, collaborate effectively with the medical team, and steadfastly advocate for patient safety and optimal outcomes within the imaging environment.
Ensure a safe environment related to equipment, bed/cart rails, patient's mental status.
Provide education that includes explanation and rationale for all test, equipment and procedures explaining to patient prior to performance.
Allow control and choices over situations and environment as appropriate to condition and situation.
Allow for cultural and religious beliefs in providing services.
Observe for signs of abuse/neglect.
Facilitate maintenance of body image.
Respect privacy and confidentiality.

Successful and valid registration/certification by a nationally recognized accrediting agency in the specific modality
One or more years of experience in the specific modality
Modality specific advanced level registry must be obtained within twelve months of hire date
Must be experienced in operating equipment and evaluating images obtained, including anatomy and pathology
Basic Life Support - CPR
Medical Radiographer: NV
Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer or Registered Vascular Technologist or Registered Technologist Computed Tomography
Must be available to take call and arrive at the hospital with a 30-minute response time

Oversee the CT Equipment protocols and technical factors
Ensure that job aides for specialized exams are available
Identify technical limitations among CT Staff members and ensure training is performed
