Job Responsibility:

  • Perform a variety of advanced diagnostic and interventional procedures across diverse imaging modalities
  • Expertly operate complex imaging equipment
  • Precisely execute imaging protocols
  • Meticulously monitor patients to ensure their safety and comfort
  • Skillfully produce high-quality diagnostic images
  • Collaborate effectively with the medical team
  • Steadfastly advocate for patient safety and optimal outcomes
  • Ensure a safe environment related to equipment, bed/cart rails, patient's mental status
  • Provide education that includes explanation and rationale for all test, equipment and procedures
  • Allow control and choices over situations and environment
  • Allow for cultural and religious beliefs in providing services
  • Observe for signs of abuse/neglect

Requirements:

  • Successful completion of a fully accredited training program in the pertinent modality
  • Successful and valid registration/certification by a nationally recognized accrediting agency in the specific modality
  • One or more years of experience in the specific modality
  • Modality specific advanced level registry must be obtained within twelve months of hire date
  • Must be experienced in operating equipment and evaluating images obtained, including anatomy and pathology
  • Basic Life Support - CPR
  • Medical Radiographer: NV
  • Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer or Registered Vascular Technologist or Registered Technologist Computed Tomography
  • Must be available to take call and arrive at the hospital with a 30-minute response time
  • Should have or develop expertise in multiple modalities of Radiology
