Job Description

Imaging Tech I Per Diem - Diagnostic. Operates x-ray equipment to make radiographs of designated portions of the body under the supervision of a radiologist. Prepares and administers barium salts or other chemical mixtures. Prepares and maintains records and files as directed. Cleans and adjusts equipment.

Job Responsibility

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
  • One (1) year of experience operating radiograph equipment
  • Arizona Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT)
  • American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT)
  • Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
  • Knowledge of radiograph equipment and how to operate machinery
  • Skill in operating and maintaining radiograph equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to complete routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to listen and accurately interpret others' communication or instructions to take appropriate action
  • ability to speak effectively with customers
  • Ability to calculate figures and compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs
  • ability to apply basic algebraic concepts
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
