Job Responsibility

  • Adheres to the general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships and team building
  • Performs diagnostic procedures and operates radiographic equipment effectively and efficiently while under the supervision and/or direction of staff technologists and supervisors
  • Adheres to radiation exposure regulations and practices to ensure adequate radiation protection
  • Ensures accurate patient records via correct data entry, validation and archival of images
  • Provides age-developmental appropriate care in accordance with Age-Developmental Specific Guidelines for the age groups served when participating in patient care

Requirements

  • Currently in the second year of the Forsyth Technical Community College's Radiologic Science Program
  • One year of training in the Forsyth Technical Community College's Radiologic Science Program
  • Certification in cardio-pulmonary resuscitation
  • Able to communicate on a professional level with physicians, nurses and other ancillary professional staff when discussing procedures and patient care
  • Clinical skills to enable recognition and to function accordingly in relation to prioritizing of patient needs
  • Adaptable to changing work schedules
