Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Imaging/Coding Associate (Scanning Clerk) to join our team on a contract basis in New York, NY. In this role, you will be responsible for converting physical documents into electronic formats while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and quality. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work with advanced imaging equipment and software in an environment focused on precision and attention to detail.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare physical documents for scanning by organizing and ensuring they are ready for processing
  • Operate imaging equipment to convert hardcopy documents into electronic files using sheet-fed and thermal imaging technology
  • Perform quality assurance checks to ensure the accuracy and integrity of scanned images and associated data
  • Index and categorize electronic documents for efficient retrieval and archiving
  • Burn data onto CDs when required, ensuring proper labeling and storage
  • Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and maintain workflow efficiency
  • Utilize imaging equipment and software to support document management and archiving processes
  • Maintain organized records of scanned files and ensure compliance with organizational standards
  • Troubleshoot minor issues with imaging equipment to minimize downtime

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in document imaging, electronic archiving, or records management is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with imaging equipment and software, including sheet-fed and thermal scanners, is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain high levels of accuracy
  • Ability to follow established procedures and quality assurance protocols
  • Proficiency in coding and indexing documents for electronic storage
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Basic troubleshooting skills for imaging equipment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with team members effectively
