Imaging Assistant

• Support patients before, during and after imaging procedures, ensuring comfort, dignity, privacy and reassurance at all times, while helping to reduce anxiety and promote independence
• Assist Radiologists, Radiographers, Mammographers and the Imaging team with diagnostic and interventional procedures including biopsies, aspirations, FNAs, ultrasound-guided injections and mammography stereo procedures
• Provide hands-on support within MRI and CT lists, helping ensure smooth patient flow and efficient running of imaging sessions
• Use Compucare, RIS and PACS systems safely and accurately, maintaining clear, confidential and up-to-date patient records
• Champion infection prevention and control, contribute to continuous quality improvement, maintain clean, stocked and safe working environments, and work in line with KIMS policies and procedures

• Hold an NVQ Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent) in health and social care
• Have experience as a Healthcare Assistant or Imaging Assistant in a hospital or outpatient clinic
• Have a caring, compassionate and patient-focused approach with a genuine interest in delivering high-quality healthcare
• Have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team

Have knowledge of radiology workflows and systems such as RIS, PACS and Compucare
