Job Responsibility

  • Assists the technologist with special procedures, localizations, and stereotatic biopsy
  • Prepare patients for their exam
  • Transport patients to and from ER
  • Assist technologist with difficult patients, portable procedures, maneuvering carts and positioning patients
  • Address and resolve customer complaints if within the associate’s capabilities
  • Answers phones in a professional manner
  • Accurately use the paging system and perfect serve to communicate results
  • Accurately completes all data entries in the Cerner Radnet
  • Schedules patients through the radiology information system
  • Prepares necessary supplies prior to exam
  • Stock exam rooms, maintains order and cleanliness of work areas
  • Participates in departmental recognition and socialization activities
  • Attends department staff meetings
  • Acts as a liaison between Technologist, Physician and patients
  • Maintains appropriate stock levels
  • Assess own learning needs, seeks appropriate training and development
  • Participates in efforts to contain costs or generate revenue in your department

Requirements

  • High School Graduate
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Knowledge of computers
  • CPR Certification
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
  • Ability to work rotating shifts any day of the week, including weekends

Nice to have

Prior experience with various age groups is preferred
