Job Description:

The Image Interpreter is responsible for reading and analyzing objects going through the Rapiscan X-Ray Detection system. The Image Interpreter must be able to detect explosive devices, firearms, and any other weapons or other items that may threaten the safety of Enhanced Protection Services clients and their guest/associates.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner
  • Read and analyze objects going through the Rapiscan X-Ray Detection system
  • Detect explosive devices, firearms, and any other weapons or other items that may threaten the safety of our customers and their employees and guests

Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
  • 21+ years of age for armed roles
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Graduation from FBI Hazardous Device School, located in Huntsville, AL, or the Naval School Explosive Ordnance Disposal, located on Eglin Air Force Base, FL
  • Law enforcement and/or military experience with bomb/Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD)/Hazardous Device Tech training
  • Background and experience in Image Interpretation of x-rays, improvised explosive devices (IEDs), hoax devices, and/or military ordnance
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only

CERTIFIED EXPLOSIVE ORDNANCE DISPOSAL TECHNICIANS PREFERRED
