We are seeking a Logistic Support Analyst (LSA) to join our Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) department. In this role, you will work closely with other LSA analysts, the Technical Data Package (TDP) team, and many other internal departments. The primary focus will be supporting the Royal Canadian Navy's Arctic and Offshore Patrol Vessels (AOPV) and Joint Support Ship (JSS) class vessels, managed by Thales under the AOPS & JSS In-Service Support (AJISS) contract.
Job Responsibility
Collect, organize, and analyze technical data to support Logistic Support Analysis (LSA) activities, including Reliability, Maintainability, Failure Analysis, Life Cycle Costing, Sparing Analysis, and Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA)
Review vendor documentation and OEM manuals to identify maintenance and support requirements
Conduct / review existing Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) studies, including Reliability Block Diagrams, FMECA, and Level of Repair Analysis (LORA)
Support the management and organization of data within LSAR tools and the Maximo maintenance management system
Collaborate with engineering, procurement, service delivery, Technical Authorities, and ship staff to validate updates and resolve maintenance/documentation queries
Develop Maintenance Plans, Preventive or Corrective Maintenance Schedules, Instructions, Performance Tests, and Spare Parts Lists with Provisioning Technical Data for new or modified ship systems
Support the development of Equipment Family Trees, User Manuals, and Training Material
Maintain and revise existing CFTOs, incorporating updates from OEM manuals, specifications, and preventive maintenance routines
Create, review, and process Document Change Requests
assist in preparing Change Packages to ensure technical data reflects the latest system/equipment configuration
Assist in the preparation of technical proposals and project plans
Provide technically accurate reports and deliverables on time and in accordance with contract requirements
Attend meetings and respond promptly to requests
Communicate and collaborate effectively with customers and internal teams on in-service support matters
Maintain awareness of project contract terms, conditions, and applicable product lines
Requirements
5+ years of relevant industry or military logistics experience
Degree/diploma in Engineering or Technology, or equivalent military/industry background in logistics support
Above average Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across engineering, procurement, service delivery, and ship staff
Language: English (essential)
French (an asset)
Must be eligible for Canadian NATO Secret clearance and meet Controlled Goods/ITAR requirements
Nice to have
Experience with maintenance management systems (e.g., Maximo)
Familiarity with logistics and reliability software (e.g., OmegaPS, Reliasoft, Eagle ELT, SLIC2B, Relex, Analyzer)
Background in naval systems, equipment, or operational military asset support
Knowledge of Canadian Forces Technical Orders (CFTOs), government technical publications, and S1000D/IETM specifications
Understanding of configuration management processes and technical documentation standards
