Join JFD Australia as an ILS Officer, where you’ll play a critical role in sustaining and supporting Defence systems within our Submarine Escape and Rescue Service (SERS) business line. You’ll be part of a collaborative team delivering innovative solutions that ensure lifecycle supportability and operational readiness for mission-critical assets. Based at our Bibra Lake site, this role offers the opportunity to work on projects that directly impact national defence capability.

Job Responsibility:

  • Conduct obsolescence assessments for systems and components, identifying risks and recommending remediation strategies
  • Review vendor documentation to determine maintenance and support requirements for obsolete or at-risk items
  • Collect and analyse technical data to prepare Logistic Support Analysis (LSA), Life Cycle Costing, Sparing Analysis, and Maintenance Task Analysis

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualification in logistics or engineering discipline or demonstrated equivalent practical experience
  • Proven experience applying Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) principles within complex technical environments
  • Background in Defence or Defence Industry, with strong understanding of sustainment and compliance requirements
  • Experience in obsolescence management within Defence projects
  • Ability to analyse technical data and provide sound recommendations
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
