Job Responsibility

  • Contribute to the total commercial offer
  • Contribute to the work of the global commercial agenda by developing long term plans for Food across all customer meeting points for business performance and great customer experience
  • Act as member of the Market Support management team
  • Utilise the process for development and innovation to create and deploy new solutions for Food and ensure the commercial execution and operational excellence of IKEA Food in an omnichannel reality on behalf of Ingka Group
  • Ensure strong support and contribution to the IKEA Food Health and Sustainability strategy
  • Secure a successful, consistent and relevant collaboration across IKEA in general, and Core Business Franchise and HFB Food (IKEA of Sweden) specifically, to ensure common business goals are met and key stakeholders have needed information
  • Responsible to coach, develop and facilitate a high performing and learning Food matrix community. Enable all team members to create communities for sharing best practices with and across the markets. Give input to the talent pipeline, contribute to the development of potentials and ensure a calibrated view on potential and succession needs and opportunities within the function
  • Secure the development of market specific range for the markets in order to drive traffic and generate profitable growth for IKEA
  • Responsible for the development of the co-worker restaurants in the markets, contributing to happy and satisfied co-workers
  • Lead, recruit for succession, coach and develop a competent, high performing and learning Food organisation/team to ensure successfully achieving set goals
  • Contribute to one IKEA Business plan and lead the business plan process within the dimension of the IKEA Food and set the preconditions for the implementation in all markets and channels
  • Responsible for that the IKEA Food organisation are compliant with internal IKEA demands and external legal demands
  • Manage and lead the achievement of our key goals/retail score card through monitoring the performance, identify gaps, initiate actions and create prerequisites for improvement
  • Create an open and sharing climate and actively foster an empowered interdependent leadership culture which nurtures collaboration and co-creation across all functions and units, within and outside Market Support and Ingka, to secure integration, common focus and maximize impact

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of experience leading business around Food with a proven record of successful business development and performance over time
  • Proven record of developing organisations, spotting, developing and exporting talents
  • Experience from leading Business and People in transformation processes, in person as well as remotely
  • Strong documented leadership skills guided by IKEA Values
  • Proven track record of interdependent leadership- leading business agendas across organizations IKEA in a collaborative way and delivering results through others
  • Vast experience in leading other leaders and competences as well as developing new potentials
  • Experience in working with different countries and divers partners throughout IKEA
  • Good understanding the IKEA Concept, the IKEA vision and business idea, IKEA culture & values, the IKEA business model and how we create unique business advantages
  • Ability to understand the complexity of IKEA business and the role of Food in Market Support as an integrated part of the business
  • Ability to analyse and integrate information and use sound judgements to make timely and effective decisions to achieve long-term business objectives
  • Radical collaboration skills, building sustainable relationships and engaging competencies across IKEA
  • Demonstrate bold and courageous leadership and be guided by the IKEA values and dare to test and try while building resilience for both business and people

  • Extensive retail knowledge at a Country commercial and operational level with a deep knowledge about the hospitality business
  • Extensive knowledge in the areas of Food and a broad knowledge of life at home and of the IKEA Concept and IKEA Brand objectives and of the whole value chain of IKEA
  • Extensive knowledge of the IKEA strategic landscape and “IKEA Way of Working” together
  • Extensive knowledge of leading, through creating competitive strategic plans and implement them
  • Extensive experience from leading transformational journeys within global organisations
