Job Description:

As an IKEA Food Co-worker your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Commercial and Operations tasks such as food preparation, customer service, maintaining cleanliness, cash handling, and operating kitchen equipment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Ensuring your area is efficiently maintained in compliance with Food standards by keeping it clean, organised, attractive and inviting to provide a positive customer experience
  • Food preparation and customer service with a focus on food safety, controlling waste, and following production levels
  • Clearing tables, wiping down benchtops and stocktake
  • Active selling, cash handling and customer service
  • Food preparation, cooking, serving and customer service with a focus on food safety, controlling waste, and following production levels and cooking methods
  • Processing dishes and maintaining the washing up area and machines whilst supporting and maintaining the cleanliness of the customer restaurant
  • Active selling, cash handling, operation of ovens & fryers

Requirements:

  • Passionate, committed, and have a love for food in its quality and presentation
  • Experienced with working in a fast paced, hands-on environment
  • Previous hospitality and cookery experience is highly regarded
  • Enthusiastic about working within a team of like-minded people
  • Able to follow strict IKEA Food and HACCP policies and daily operational routines around quality and food safety, including temperature and date checks
