Job Description:

As an IKEA Food Co-worker your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: ensuring your area is efficiently maintained in compliance with food standards by keeping it clean and organised, food preparation and cooking with a focus on food safety, controlling waste, and following production levels and cooking methods, operating the industrial dishwashing machine and sorting cutlery, comfortable standing and working at the sink, prioritising strict cooking timelines and multi-tasking under pressure during rush hours, using your IKEA Food knowledge to exceed customer expectations, confidently answering their questions so they can make informed purchase decisions.

Job Responsibility:

Ensuring your area is efficiently maintained in compliance with food standards by keeping it clean and organised
Food preparation and cooking with a focus on food safety, controlling waste, and following production levels and cooking methods
Operating the industrial dishwashing machine and sorting cutlery
Comfortable standing and working at the sink
Prioritising strict cooking timelines and multi-tasking under pressure during rush hours
Using your IKEA Food knowledge to exceed customer expectations, confidently answering their questions so they can make informed purchase decisions

Requirements:

Passionate, committed, and have a love for food in its quality and presentation
High customer-centric approach
Experienced with working in a fast paced, hands-on environment
Previous hospitality and cookery experience is essential
Prior commercial cooking experience is required for this role
An energetic and team-focused approach
Able to follow strict IKEA Food and HACCP policies and daily operational routines around quality and food safety, including temperature and date checks
