Job Description:

Part-time IKEA Food Assistant position in kitchen production at IKEA Sukhumvit, Bangkok. Responsible for ensuring customer focus, product knowledge, sales optimization, merchandise delivery, inventory management, and store operations according to IKEA standards and values.

Job Responsibility:

  • Ensure customers are always in focus and strive to make them smile
  • Be a good ambassador for the IKEA store in all customer contact
  • See area through customers' eyes and have daily dialogue with them
  • Be passionate about products and actively learn about their content, origins, and benefits
  • Optimize sales by knowing top-selling products
  • Support range changes and prepare area readiness
  • Contribute to department's action plan and in-store activities
  • Monitor local competition and provide input on range and pricing
  • Comply with internal rules, policies, and daily operational routines
  • Responsible for delivery of merchandise to customers
  • Ensure efficient and timely product delivery
  • Maintain inventory levels at warehouse according to company standards
  • Ensure proper handling of goods using appropriate tools and software
  • Execute IKEA store operations according to Functional Commercial Review standards

Requirements:

  • Can commit to a 24-hour work week (6 hours per day, excluding 1 hour break, 4 days a week)
  • Available for shift-work
  • Available to work on at least two weekdays as well as Saturday and Sunday
  • Sales-driven and passionate about food and people
  • Experience in food management and industry
  • Willing to learn new skills
  • Enjoy working in a vibrant fast-paced retail environment
  • Service-minded with customer focus
  • Flexible and open to change
  • Confident in approaching and talking to people in a friendly manner
  • Personal initiative and good attention to details
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with others
  • Willingness to learn new skills (both technical and non-technical)
  • Willingness to learn about IKEA products
  • Strong communication skills with customers, vendors and other departments
  • Computer literate in MS Office system
